Of square, generously upholstered form, covered in a handwoven kilim textile on a deep midnight-blue ground, patterned throughout with repeating diamond and stepped geometric motifs in tones of terracotta, ochre, soft green, and ivory. This stool is structured and firm in profile, lending itself to use as a low stool as well as informal seating in a living room. A contrasting banded border runs around the sides, accented by twisted cord detailing at the seam, while each corner is finished with a knotted textile finial. The surface shows a pleasing patina consistent with age and use, the colours softened but still well defined.
